Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes “Not Going Anywhere” Amid Real Madrid Rumors

Manager Ruben Amorim’s Firm Reassurance

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was given a clear message by manager Ruben Amorim on Monday: despite rampant transfer rumors linking him with a £90 million (107.4 million euros) move to Real Madrid, Fernandes is staying at Old Trafford. Amorim stated emphatically, “No, it’s not going to happen,” underscoring his commitment to keeping the 30-year-old at the club.

A Pillar of United’s Ambitions

Since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2020, Bruno Fernandes has been a linchpin for Manchester United, scoring 95 goals in 277 appearances. His ability to contribute both in terms of goals and assists makes him indispensable as United set their sights on reclaiming the Premier League title. With his contract secured until 2027, United view Fernandes as a long-term asset around whom they can build a winning team.

Confidence in Stability and Growth

Amorim highlighted the importance of maintaining a stable squad during challenging times. “I want Bruno here because maybe in the lowest moments of our season he impressed. We want to win the Premier League again, so we want the best players to continue with us,” he said. He further noted that, despite the rumors, Manchester United are in control of the situation and that Fernandes is genuinely happy at the club. With such reassurances from the manager, it is clear that United have no plans to let go of one of their key players.
